Presentation transcript:

One of the Reasons the Vikings raided was because they needed more population room because it was getting to crowded where the were currently lived. The first Viking raid was in Lindisfarne when they raided the local church taking every thing in the church that had any value such as gold.

The Vikings were very at building ships in fact their boats were the most advanced of there time. The Vikings used their ships to sail across the sea to trad, explore and start colonies, and raid.

The Vikings raided and concord many places not just where they lived but over seas to. The Vikings Raided Places such as England, Ireland, Scotland and France.

To start of with armour I’m going to tell you about the Vikings helmets. Now we all think that their helmets had little horns coming out of them but in fact the helmets didn't have horns actually their helmets didn't have anything on them. The Higher status Vikings wore chain mail which as you can tell by the name is made out of chain and provides good protection when in battle but the lower status had the option of leather and/or cloth which didn’t make for much protection and didn’t last as well over the years but I guess its better than nothing.
