Strategic framework for rural development SR till 2013 Reflects the entire guidelines of rural development SR. Objective - competitiveness of agriculture sector and forestry sector via increase of effectiveness and the same time sustainability Modernization, innovation and the support of education and the same time protection of environment and biodiversity in rural areas, sustainable use of its resources, activities, which contribute to elimination of regional disparities in the SR.

Axis 4 - Leader Objective: Support of local partnership development and utilization of endogeneos potential of rural areas Priority: Improvement of governance and management of development potential in rural areas Focused on: Implementation of local development via Leader approach, aimed to reach objectives of Axis 3 – Quality of life in rural areas and diversification of rural economy by local action groups (LAG).

Measures of Axis 1 Priority 1:Support of restructuring, modernisation, innovation, increase of the quality of products in agri- food and forestry sectors 1.) Modernization of agriculture holdings 2.) Adding value to agriculture and forestry products 3.) Infrastructure linked to agriculture and forestry (land consolidation) 4.) Increase of economic value of forests Priority 2: Dissemination and support of information, knowledge and advisory services for agri-food and forestry sectors 1.) Professional training and information activities 2.) Advisory service utilisation

Measures of Axis 2 Priority 1: Introduction of agriculture and forestry systems with high added value 1.) Less favored areas 2.) Natura agriculture land 3.) Natura 2000 – forestry land 4.) Animal wellfare Priorities 2 a 3: Introduction of agriculture methods friendly to the quality of land and water 1.) Water directive 2.) Agri-environment 3.) Forestry-environment Priority 4: Support of agriculture and forestry systems contributing to the decrease of greenhause gas pollution and maintaining organic matter in the soil 1.) First afforestation of agriculture land 2.) Renewal of forestry potential and prevention measures

Measures of Axis 3 Priority 1: Job generation for rural residents via diversification activities and rural tourism 1.) Diversification of non-agriculture activities 2.) Support of rural tourism Priority 2: Increase of education and information of rural population 1.) Education Priority 3: Secure the TI development, improve the equipment and appearance of villages and contribute to the better quality of life of rural residents 1.) Village renewal and development Priority 4: Aqquisition of skills with the aim to prepare and implement the local development strategy 1.) Aqquisition of skills, preparation and implementation of local development strategies

Measures of Axis 4 Objective: Create and implement local development strategies via local action groups, encourage and involve local people into decision making process on activities contributing to the integrated area development 1.) Financial framework of the Rural Development Program The total budget cca1,9 BEUR (EAFRD), appr. 2,5 BEUR together with the state budget for 2007 – 2013 the division among axes: Axis 1 – 28 % Axis 2 – 53,5 % Axis 3 – 13,5 % Axis 4 – 3 % - 74 Mil. EUR TA – 2 %
