At the Children’s Operational Board, the matron assured the Board that where there were no gaps in staffing the ratio of nurse:patient was maintained due to lower levels of patients. There were no Emergency Department breaches nor planned surgical cancellations. More assurance was requested regarding the ability to improve the resilience of the staffing to sustain safety.
