Exposition: narrator explains that the country is on verge of civil war, and that a republican sniper lay on a rooftop watching the enemy. Inciting incident: The sniper lights a cigarette, and a sniper across the street fires at him. Rising action: The sniper sees some enemies on the ground and shoots them. Then he is shot in the arm. Climax: The sniper puts his cap on his rifle and drops it to the ground after it is shot. Then the sniper shoots the other sniper with his revolver. Falling action: The sniper suddenly feels bad about killing the other sniper. He suddenely hates himself and the war. Resolution: The sniper suddenly wonders if he knows the man he shot. He goes to look at the body. Denoument: he rolls over the dead body and it is his brother.
