Effects of bullying on the victim: 1. Lowered self-esteem 2. Depression and anxiety 3. Increased absenteeism 4. Lowered school achievement 5. Thoughts of suicide, self-harm and thoughts of harming others 6. Increased illness

Concerns for individuals who bully: People who bully are more likely to………. Steal, vandalize property and get in fights. Drink alcohol and smoke. Be truant and drop out of school. Have lower academic achievement. Carry a weapon. (Bullies are 4x as likely to have 3 or more convictions by age 24.) Have a conduct-disorder or other mental disability
