Homing Estun Overseas Dept

Purpose In position mode, homing is often done before operating the machine in order to get precise positions. In the past, homing function is mainly realized by controller. It will be difficult to apply homing if you don’t have controller.

Advantage Now Estun servo drive itself provides the homing function. It brings: 1) Convenience It can automatically complete homing Function without controller. 2) Low price Servo drive can replace the controller to decrease the cost of the project. 3) Simplicity Controller do not need to have homing program which makes the project less complicated.

Description of homing operation Set Pn689 according to the actual operation in position control mode. Starting homing function, servo motor will run at the speed of Pn685 when detecting the rising edge of SHOM signal. The motor will run at the speed of Pn686 according to the setting of Pn689.1 when detecting the valid ORG signal. When ORG is disabled and detecting encoder C-pulse, servo drive will begin calculating the number of homing offset pulses. When offset pulses is completed, servo motor stops and outputs homing completion signal /HOME. Thus homing control is completed. Pn685is usually set at high speed while Pn686 is usually set at low speed. Please be notified that if PN686 setting is too high, the precision of mechanical zero position will be affected.
