Pont des Arts Pont des Arts Paris has the Pont des Arts as meeting point for people in love, friends, and tourists A charming and romantic place where locks are placed to symbolize eternal love, the key is then thrown at the Sena River

It runs across the Sena River, between the Louvre Museum and The Institute de France

The name Pont des Arts (Arts Bridge) comes from the former name of the Palais du Louvre (Louvre Palace), or Palais des Arts (Arts Palace) during Napoleon First Empire

When I am in Paris I try to be at this bridge at sunset, enjoying the charming atmosphere, with music and …

….. And picnics, being the good election of cheese the traditional scenery

Finished in 1985, on seven steel arches supporting a wooden decking that is 11 meters wide and has only seven arches instead of nine (the old one)

During the day its view is very nice with the padlocks shinning at the sun and also music, picnics and people attaching locks, looking for their old ones, taken photos

With the golden locks as background it is also the place where most recent couples choose it for a photo, not only French ones

But from all over the world couples made the same during their honeymoon

So at all hours in the day you can see them in different and very romantic positions

Nice to be there at all hours of the day, at the back Pont Neuf and île de la Cite

Not all is romance, also business, ( selling and buying locks )

It´ s said that the most beautiful sunsets are enjoyed from this bridge
