Genesis 6 - 9

 God’s Grace Does Not Mean Our Ease… ◦ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. (Genesis 6:8 NKJV) ◦ "Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. "And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. "You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. (Genesis 6:14-16 NKJV)

 Noah Had A Faith That Persevered… ◦ and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; (2 Peter 2:5 NKJV) ◦ By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. (Hebrews 11:7 NKJV) ◦ God may not need you to build a boat, but He needs you to do all you can to save your family (Eph. 6:1-4; Titus 2:4- 5) 1.What did Noah Preach? 2.Did he preach by words or actions? 3.What is the meaning of ungodly? 4.Did men fear God then? 5.Do we fear Him now? 6.Do we understand our responsibility? 1.What did Noah Preach? 2.Did he preach by words or actions? 3.What is the meaning of ungodly? 4.Did men fear God then? 5.Do we fear Him now? 6.Do we understand our responsibility?

 God Won’t Abandon The Faithful… ◦ Genesis 6:20 – 7:1 ◦ "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV) ◦ Hebrews 13:5 – “…I will never leave you nor forsake you!”

 There Is A Limit To God’s Patience… ◦ Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." (Genesis 6:5-7 NKJV) Hebrews 10:28-29 & 2 Peter 3:9,10 Hebrews 10:28-29 & 2 Peter 3:9,10

 God is gracious and wants to save!  But He will not tolerate evil forever!  There will be a day of judgment, and when that day comes, we had better be in His ark of safety! For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:5-7 NKJV)
