Disability Management & Return-to-Work Self-Assessment Tools Presented by: CEO-RTW Date: January 21, 2010

Establish Goals Return employees with temporary disabilities or restrictions to temporary modified or alternate positions as soon as practicable (WHA). Identify the need for reasonable accommodations in a timely manner (Voluntary Request for Reasonable Accommodation form). Initiate good faith interactive process meetings in a timely manner and always document such meetings. Return employees with permanent disabilities to sustainable permanent modified or alternate positions. Comply with statutory requirements and document all attempts to comply with such requirements. Minimize exposures related to employment practices law suits. Documented actions should speak for themselves.
