Unexpected additional thyroid cancer in a patient with already known cervical cancer detected on PET/CT Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital Kuan-Hsiu Lin, Chin Hu, Chang-Chung Lin, Daw-Guay Tasy, Nan-Jing Peng

18 F-FDG-PET is useful in initial staging and follow-up of malignancies. Unusual sites of FDG uptake or CT finding may indicate second primary malignancy instead of metastasis. Here, a thyroid cancer in a patient with prior cervical cancer was presented. The final confirmation of cancer was based on pathologic report. Abstract
