REVIVAL AND SUBMITTING TO THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS

“My life is my own to live as I please.” “My life is God’s to do with as He wills.”

Romans 12:1-2- “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

I.TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOUR GOD. (11:33-36)

First, look at God’s omniscience in verses 33-34

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

‘Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?’”

“The will of God is what you would do if you knew what God knows.”

Second, look at the complete independence of God.

verse 35-“‘Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?’”

Third, look at God’s inevitability

verse 36-“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”

II. IN VIEW OF THIS, WHAT IS THE LOGICAL THING TO DO?(12:1-2)

Romans 12:1-2- “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.

When the Jewish people brought a lamb or calf as a sacrifice, they were simply bringing what they had no right to keep!

“My life is my own to live as I please.” “My life is God’s to do with as He wills.”

III. WHAT WILL BE THE RESULTS?

The first result will be a transformed mind.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Second, you will discover God’s will for your life.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

There is only one person who is worthy for you to surrender your life to – JESUS!

If you don’t surrender your life to Jesus, He can’t work His work in your life.
