Gemfields Plc Environmentally Sustainable – making right and more By definition: Environmental impact management – managing the possible impacts that any given project may have on the environment. Promoting the positive impacts while limiting and setting right any potential negative impacts throughout the life of the project Biodiversity - encompasses variety and variability. It refers to the differences within and between all living organisms and their interdependence. It offers us a choice from an evolutionary perspective and in terms of human (and business) development and survival Gemfields’ approach: Respect for the environment is central to our approach to sustainable development. We aim to minimise our impact on the natural surroundings, to conserve the environment, AND, as far as possible, to leave the environment in a better state than they were when we found them.
