AboutUs 1973 Glen Alsum started the company in a 300 square foot garage 1981 Glen was killed in a plane crash. Larry Alsum took over as GM and owner 1984 Alsum Transport set up as a trucking subsidiary 1989 Entered farming joint venture near Arena 1992 Alsum Farms begins growing potatoes in lower Wisconsin River valley 2000 Certified to pack Organic potatoes Fire destroyed cooler and warehouse and rebuilt Added 24 storage bins, added 12 lane Exeter sizer with X- ray, two packing machines and robotics 2012 Built a 53,000 sq. ft. to office and production area 2014 Completion of specialty potato packing facility Family-Owned & Operated Two generations in the business Vertically Integrated
