Phrase A group of words that is used as a single part of speech and that does not have both a subject or verb.
Prepositional Phrase A prepositional phrase includes: preposition, the object of the preposition, and any modifiers (words that describe) of that object (adverbs or adjectives)
Examples We waited until lunchtime. Prepositional phrase: Preposition: Object: The house across the street has green shutters.

Prepositional Phrases A prepositional phrase can be used as an adjective phrase or an adverb phrase. It all depends on what it is being used to modify (describe).
Adjective Phrases A prepositional phrase that modifies (describes) a noun or pronoun. They will answer the questions: What kind? Which one? How many? How much?
