MAN UP BIBLE SERIES Living for Eternity Lesson Six

The Real World I really like the end of a good book. That goes for this idea of Living for Eternity. What will it all look like at the end of it all? Lets go to the last words of the last book of the Bible to see what God has to say about what he rewards. Tomorrow morning when the alarm goes off you must ask yourself will I live for what I can see knowing that it will soon pass away or will I live for eternity? That is when you will know whether this study has really made an impact on your values and actions. We can look and look and there will be no real visible proof of your future in heaven. The world will tell you that this is all just a farce, that God and His plans for you are not real. But you know they are. Deep down in places you are afraid to go, God is there and He calls you to give it all up for Him. Lets look at Revelation 22 :

Real Talk Do you live each day like it is your last? Why or Why Not? Do you get lost in the mundane of life? Why? What is the secret to keeping your eye on eternal values?

Real Steps Living for Eternity looks like this: Reorder your Actions. Do what lasts for eternity first. Reorder Your Priorities. Heavenly priorities first. Reorder Your Finances. It all belongs to God. Reorder Your Time. Eternal things take priority. Reorder Your Business. God’s way always. Living for Eternity is to change your citizenship from earth to heaven and to live like that each moment.

Time To Close I close this study with a story of a missionary couple who had spent forty years serving others in a lonely corner of the world. When it was time for them to come home to retire they entered into the harbor aboard a huge ship. To their delight there was a large crowd of happy folks there to great them with a band and large “Welcome Home” banners. As they got off the boat the crowd had already turned and was heading off and the couple realized that all the commotion was for a war hero on the boat. The husband couldn’t hide his disappointment and said, “ Not much of a welcome home after a lifetime of service..” His wife took his arm and a softly answered, “ This is just England. We are not home yet.” So that is the way it is. The final rewards will be in heaven. I am going to be there.. How about you? Time to MAN UP!
