3 Man: No Runners Routine Fly Ball U3 Comes inside AND has catch / no catch U1 reacts to batted ball in U3’s catch no catch coverage area and comes inside U1 works back outside if U3 does not go out. Has BR at home plate if ball is dropped UIC reads U3. If U3 does not go out, then has BR at 3 rd if ball is dropped The umpire with catch / no catch responsibility dictates the rotations based on whether he goes out! Routine Fly Ball Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: No Runners Routine Fly Ball U3 Comes inside, Routine Fly Ball U1 turns and has catch / no catch. U1 is not going anywhere on ROUTINE catches. Observe the catch, listen for the touch of the base. Left Click for next action when ready. UIC comes out ready to cover 1 st if routine turns trouble or cover 3 rd if ball is dropped and BR advances to 2 nd.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st Base Batted Ball stays on infield Left Click for next action when ready. U3 steps up, chest to ball, moves into position for pivot at 2 nd base. Stays with this play! U1 reads ball as fielded, moves 90 degrees to throw Batted Ball stays on infield UIC rotates to 3 rd until batted ball is fielded by infielder, then works back to 1 st base line

3 Man: Runner at 1 st Base Routine Fly Ball leftfield U1 moves into position (outside) to lineup tag up or play back into 1 st base. U3 has catch no catch and moves into position UIC starts towards 3 rd, goes as far as R1. Works back to home as R1 retreats back to 1 st. Routine Fly Ball (LF) Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st Base Routine Fly Ball right field U1 turns and observes the catch, ready to go out should it turn into trouble. U3 steps up and chests the ball, observes the catch (catch / no catch responsibility)… UIC starts towards 3 rd, goes as far as R1. Works back to home as R1 retreats back to 1 st. Routine Fly Ball (RF) …ready to cover 1 st base should this turn into trouble and U1 goes out late. If runner is tagging U1 can move into position to observe tag up (only if catch is routine ). 3 Man: Runner at 1 st base Trouble Ball; U1 goes out Trouble Ball (RF) U1 PAUSES /READS trouble and goes out. U3 slides over & has all plays /touches / tag up at 1 st base, touches / plays at 2 nd base UIC reverts to 2 man, ready for 1 st to third rotation. Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st base Trouble Ball to Left field (U3 does not cross the dirt) Trouble Ball (LF) U3 PAUSES /READS trouble and moves into best possible position (inside) to view catch). U1 moves into position, ready to rotate home if ball is dropped. U1 will observe the catch / no catch! UIC prepares for 1 st to third rotation, and observes the catch / no catch! U3 maintains responsibility for R1 at 2 nd base and BR at 1 st or second base if R1 commits to 3 rd (ball is dropped). Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st base Clean base hit to outfield U3 observes R1 touch at 2 nd and slides over for all plays on BR once R1 commits to 3 rd. U1 observes BR touch at 1 st base and if R1 commits to 3 rd base, he rotates home. UIC rotates to 3 rd base, staying outside for all plays. This rotation ALWAYS stays on, even if an extra base hit. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 2 nd Bases Obvious Bunt Play (1 st & 2 nd, less than 2 outs) Obvious Bunt Play If late in a close game the Crew suspects a bunt play in this situation… U1 will come inside and U3 will move outside to allow U3 a better look… We will only do this if we are positive the bunt play is on…. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 2 nd Base Routine Fly Ball leftfield (double tag) U1 lines up tag up of R1. Rotates home once R2 commits to 3 rd.. U3 has catch no catch, lines up tag up of R2. If R2 commits to 3 rd, has R1 (1 st & 2 nd base) UIC reads batted ball and rotates to 3 rd Routine Fly Ball (Double Tag) Rotation remains on even if ball is dropped. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 2 nd base Clean base hit to outfield (Reverse Rotation) Clean base hit to outfield U3 observes R1 touch at 2 nd base, has R2 & R1 at 2 nd and 3 rd base. U1 comes inside and observes BR touch at 1 st base. Has all plays at 1 st base, & takes BR into 2 nd base UIC moves to 3 rd baseline extended and observes R2 touch of 3 rd base. Release 3 rd base to UIC if R2 tags (ball is caught) UIC reverts to 2 man; rotates to 3 rd if R2 tagging. Call rotation off, if batted ball is dropped or extra bases. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 2 nd Base Trouble Ball Leftfield (double tag) U1 lines up tag up of R1. Gather information of R2’s tag up. Rotates home if R2 tags & commits to 3 rd. U3 has trouble ball and gets into best possible position (inside), tag up of R2 secondary priority. UIC reads R2 for tag up. Observes Trouble Ball. Rotates to 3 rd unless trouble ball is obvious extra bases Trouble Ball LF If trouble ball is obvious extra bases then “Reverse rotation is on” Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Base Routine Fly Ball leftfield U1 observes tag up of R1. Has secondary plays of R1 at 2 nd base and all plays of BR into 2 nd base. U3 has catch no catch, lines up tag up of R2. Has R2 into 3 rd base and primary play of R1 into 2 nd base UIC lines up tag up of R3 and has all plays at plate Routine Fly Ball Left Click for next action when ready.

3 Man: Runner at 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Base Same play as before…but throw goes to 2 nd base for primary play on U1 Routine Fly Ball Left Click for next action when ready.

Trouble Ball; U1 goes out Trouble Ball (RF) U1 PAUSES /READS trouble and goes out. U3 reverts to 2 man, has tag up of R2 & R1. All plays / touches at 1 st, 2 nd bases. All plays at 3 rd base. UIC reverts to 2 man; all touches at 3 rd base (except BR) and all plays at home. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Base Left Click for next action when ready.

Trouble Ball Leftfield (reverse rotation) U1 observes tag up of R1. Gather information of R2’s tag. Reverse Rotation & secondary play of R1 and all plays on BR U3 has trouble ball and gets into best possible position (inside), tag up of R2 is secondary priority. UIC observes R3’s tag up. Observes Trouble Ball. All plays at the plate. Trouble Ball (LF) 3 Man: Runner at 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Base Left Click for next action when ready.

Clean base hit to outfield (Reverse Rotation) Clean base hit to outfield U3 observes R1 touch at 2 nd base, has R2 & R1 at 2 nd and 3 rd base. U1 comes inside and observes BR touch at 1 st base. Has all plays at 1 st base, & takes BR into 2 nd base UIC moves to 3 rd baseline extended and observes R2 touch of 3 rd base. All plays at the plate. REVERSE ROTATION = U1 coming inside with BR responsibility to 2 nd base. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Base Left Click for next action when ready.

Has R2 at 2 nd on double play turn (stays with R2) U1 reads the batted ball as fielded, moves 90 degrees to throw UIC, if R3 advances home on batted ball work to 3 rd base line extended immediately, ready to adjust. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 3 rd base Routine Fly Ball (Reverse Rotation possible) U1 comes inside, observes tag up of R1. Has BR into 2 nd base if ball is dropped. U3 has catch no catch. Has any play back into 3 rd of R3 and all plays of R1 at 2 nd & 3 rd base. UIC has tag up of R3 and all plays at home plate. Routine Fly Ball Reverse Rotation is on if ball is dropped. If the trouble ball is uncaught, potential 1 st to 3 rd rotation is on UIC reverts to 2 man, has R3’s tag up. Rotates to 3 rd if ball is uncaught and play at 3 rd develops on R1. 3 Man: Runner at 1 st & 3 rd Base Trouble Ball Leftfield (Reverse Rotation) U1 comes inside and observes trouble ball. Has R1’s tag up and takes BR into 2 nd base (reverse rotation) U3 has trouble ball and gets into best possible position (inside) for trouble ball. UIC observes trouble ball and moves into best position for R3’s tag up. Has all plays at home plate. Trouble Ball LF U3 has catch / no catch, plays on R1 at 2 nd & 3 rd base, and the BR at 3 rd base. U1 steps up, chest to ball and works to best position for play at 1 st base. Has any 2 nd base. UIC, if R3 holds, come out in front of plate, observe plate at 1 st & immediately work back to plate.
