British Values SMSC provision

What does it mean to be British What does it mean to be British ? Come up with a list of 5 principles you feel our country stands for. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Some examples. Freedom of speech – You can speak your mind. Freedom of Religion- you have a right to have faith in any religion. Rule of Law -  Our society is based on the idea that we all abide by the same rules, whatever our wealth or status. No one is above the law - not even the government.

To me they’re as British as the Union Flag, as football, as fish and chips. Of course, people will say that these values are vital to other people in other countries. And, of course, they’re right. But what sets Britain apart are the traditions and history that anchors them and allows them to continue to flourish and develop.
