Defining the term: “It is a deliberate act of withstanding the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional challenges that are embedded in the believer’s new life in Christ.”

Endurance will enable you to keep your eyes off of yourself and stay focus on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Php 3:8 Php 3:8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

Php 3:9 Php 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— Php 3:10 Php 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, Php 3:11 Php 3:11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Php 3:12 Php 3:12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Php 3:13 Php 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, Php 3:14 Php 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Endurance will reflect the quality of our life, greatly impact the lives that God has placed in our realm of experience. Php 2:25 Php 2:25 I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, Php 2:26 Php 2:26 for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was ill.

Php 2:27 Php 2:27 Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. Php 2:28 Php 2:28 I am the more eager to send him, therefore, that you may rejoice at seeing him again, and that I may be less anxious. Php 2:29 Php 2:29 So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, Php 2:30 Php 2:30 for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.

Five things we need to know about this endurance: 5.A person who endures get results. 1.A person who endures is impressive. 2.A person who endures has tremendous impact on others. 3.A persons who endures has a great potential of being a blessing to others. 4.A person who endures glorifies God.

“Endurance demands that we take ownership our circumstances.”
