Spheres of Earth Biosphere = Life on Earth – This includes plants, animals, and humans Atmosphere = Air – This is the air we breathe, the air between the surface of Earth and outer space Hydrosphere = Water – This includes all water (fresh and salt) on Earth…includes rivers, lakes, ponds, oceans, streams, and more Geosphere or Lithosphere = Land – This is all the land that you walk on and the inside of the Earth Cryosphere = Ice – This is all of the ice and frozen part of the Earth including glaciers, icebergs, and icecaps Exosphere = Space – This includes EVERYTHING from the end of our atmosphere throughout the whole universe
