Spain vs Costa Rica rural small town focus on environment language school community service with children, environment sunset by 5:30pm = less activity time with host family urban large city focus on culture/history (museums, etc) K-12 school community service with children and the elderly (Gredos school children and Los Balcones assisted living) Daylight late into evening = more activity time with host family

Application process 1. Complete the initial application form online and pay the $500 deposit by October 31, The deposit will go toward your total program price; it is not an additional fee. 2. You will receive instructions for completing a detailed application online by December 15, 2014.

Payment schedule October 31, 2014-$500 deposit due December 15, 2014-$1,200 due February 1, 2015-$1,200 due April 1, 2015-final balance due Cancellation policy If for any reason we cannot accept you into the program, all payments will be refunded in full. If you cancel before December 15, 2014, $300 of the deposit will be refunded. If you cancel after December 15, we will refund all payments made less the deposit and any non-refundable costs incurred.

Additional information It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documents for your stay in Spain or Costa Rica, including a valid passport. We recommend that you bring about $50-$150 per week for personal items, snacks, souvenirs, and meals in transit.
