Legal Education  Unlike Lithuania – The United States confers 3 different advanced degrees in law education  J.D.  LL.M.  SJD

License to Practice Law  Every state has their own requirements, and admission is regulated by the bar of each state.  A written Bar Exam is required for admission to the practice of law in each state.  Federal courts have their own admissions requirements  Each state also has its own requirements regarding the maintenance of the law license
