Benefits of Service Learning Enriches student learning of course material and "brings books to life and life to books". Increases awareness of current societal issues as they relate to academic areas of interest. Develops civic responsibility through active community involvement. Fosters an ethic of service and civic participation in students who will be tomorrow's volunteers and civic leaders. Allows the energy and enthusiasm of college students to contribute to meeting needs. Broadens perspectives of diversity issues and enhances critical thinking skills. s.htm

Childrens Miracle network!

Fun in the Sun As a fraternity we raised over 2500 dollars to give to the Childrens miracle network. Without the help of each sorority on campus this would not have been possible. Through a series of week long events sororities put together teams to compete in competitions for a final winner at the end.

What I have learned Raising money for those who are less fortunate is a great way to get involved in your community. Working together to better the good of others makes an individual feel quite appreciated. You never know how just a little help can go a long way. Some people don’t choose the situations the are put in so those of us who are less fortunate should appreciate that.
