Cost Sharing AHCCCS Update March 18, 2015 Michal Rudnick

Current Copays Nominal copays are charged to: o AHCCCS for Families with Children o YATI o State Adoption Assistance o Aged 65 or older, blind or disabled and SSI o Aged 65 or older, blind or disabled and SSIMAO o FTW Mandatory copays are charged to: o Transitional Medical Assistance (TMA) 2 Reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive quality health care for those in need

January 2014 Changes Persons in the adult group have no copay requirement- either mandatory or non mandatory Rules added new copayment exemptions for all members for well visits and preventive services 3 Reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive quality health care for those in need

Changes Planned for October 2015 Mandatory, increased copays for new adult group for persons over 106% FPL to 133% FPL Exploring: o Mandatory copays for members 18 and older o $8 copay for Non-Emergency Use of the Emergency Room (operational impacts) o Possible copay charge for inpatient stay o Increases to nominal copay amounts Proposed rules – plan to post in Spring Changes contingent on CMS approval of waiver for SMI and Acute HCBS for 90 Days 4 Reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive quality health care for those in need

Future Changes Planned AHCCCS aware of recent Bill for Premiums and Waiver and we are working on it; this process will take time 5 Reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive quality health care for those in need
