Introduction Misha is a young naive boy he doesn't have a name, a home, a family or a background. He sleeps in the street, steals food, and survives by not getting caught. He is called a Gypsy, a Jew, a filthy son of Abraham, and Stop Thief. He sleeps in a cellar with a group of boys who are just like him, they steal to stay alive and to not get caught by the Jackboots.

The Jackboots control Warsaw, Poland in They have power, uniforms, and guns. It is not safe to be a Jew, a Gypsy or a homeless orphan. The best thing to be is invisible.

He is given a name “Misha” by his friend Uri who also tells him that he was a Gypsy until the day his family was bombed by the Jackboots, otherwise known as the Nazis. Uri was the leader of the street and he was also the one who helps guide Misha through life on the streets, but when Misha sees a girl he knows herded into the Warsaw ghetto with her family, he knows he must follow her.

Literary Extension Project CD/DVD Cover For my literary extension project I choose to design a CD/DVD cover. The CD/DVD is a tribute to those who died as well as a complete history of the Holocaust, with letters, stories, pictures and individual accounts of what happened first hand by those who lived it. The first slide is the cover, the second slide is what is looks like when you open up the CD complete with a chapter review. The next slide is a picture of the CD/DVD, and the final slide is the back cover of the CD/DVD.
