ANOVA = Analysis of Variance One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a statistical method of testing the equality of three or more population means. We use ANOVA(L1 , L2 , L3) and we put the data into L1, L2, and L3 One-way ANOVA is used with data with one factor (or treatment) which separates data into different categories.

ANOVA = Analysis of Variance Use wind up using an F-distribution for this. It looks like a chi-squared distribution.

ANOVA = Analysis of Variance F = (variance between samples) / (variance within samples) If there are k categories, and n samples in each category degrees of freedom of the numerator = k – 1 degrees of freedom of the denominator = k(n – 1)

Example: Bicycle times for Miles

Example: Agriculture
