Bible Study Tip #4 As you are reading, note other verses that come to mind which might correspond with the portion being read.

Bible Study Tip #2 When God speaks something new to your heart, pray and ask Him to show you ways to apply it to your life.

Bible Study Tip #7 Paraphrase meaningful verses in your own words.

Bible Study Tip #3 Did a particular verse jump off the page for you? Write the verse you want to memorize on an index card.

Bible Study Tip #5 Keep an eye out for repeated phrases and words in the chapter. Look up important words in a concordance or topical index.

Bible Study Tip #1 Study parallel passages in the gospels to gain deeper understanding of certain events or teachings. Most Bibles note the passages in chapter subheadings or in study notes.
