Curse of the Bambino By: Zack and Tanner

Red Sox  The Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees.  In 1918 the Yankees and Red Sox fought each other with chants.

Babe Ruth went to the Yankees  They sold him in the off season of 1919 –  The Red Sox sold Babe Ruth for 125,00 dollars.  He was sold 2 years after the Red Sox won the world series.

Red Sox win  This curse is no longer in affect.  But it affected the team by them losing the world series’.  There are many different varieties on why the Red Sox sold him. Some examples are Babe Ruth wanted to be more of a permanent hitter instead of pitching and also the owner of the Red Sox Harry Frazee needed money to finance his girlfriend’s play.
