Warm up Instructions 1.Procure your folder 2.Turn to your map of Europe 3.Identify NORWAY, SWITZERLAND, and LUXEMBOURG One color or symbol. 4. identify FRANCE, SPAIN, and UKRAINE one color or symbol 5. Identify GERMANY, UNITED KINGDOM, ITALY, and FRANCE with one color or symbol.

Physical Characteristics – Europe's Mountains Regions like the Pyrenees and the ALPS benefefit the economy of Europe by providing opportunities for recreation (Skiing, camping, etc.) and mineral resources.

Europe – 2.There are places in Europe that are threatened by air and water pollution. Black forest, Cities like Venice, and Rivers like the Rhine, Danube, and the Seine.

– 3. Many industrial and transportation centers are developing near mineral deposits in the Ruhr Valley, and the Po valley. (ex. iron ore and coal)

– 4.Rivers and Canals Serve as major transportation links.

– 5.Europe’s economy benefits from oil reserves in the North Sea.
