What do you remember??? How many feet in a yard? How many quarters in a dollar? How many minutes in an hour? How many quarts in a gallon? How many meters in a kilometer?

Think about it… Sandy needs to purchase some ribbon for a project she is working on. At Store A, the ribbon costs $0.25 per inch. At Store B, the same ribbon costs $6.75 per yard. Which store has the better buy on the ribbon that Sandy needs?

Conversion Rates Conversion Rates are special ratios that are created from equivalent measurements having different units. Example: 1 foot to 12 inches is a “conversion rate” because 1 foot and 12 inches are equivalent measures in different units. Can you think of other conversion rates?
