GGHS Action Plan Goals To develop student career management skills across curriculum areas incorporating reporting and developing a document that articulates Graduate Qualities & Capabilities in all year 12 students. Investigate the feasibility of integrating Year 9 Work Studies into middle school curriculum and linking this to PLP. Expand the complimentary connections between the school, businesses and the community as an integral component of students career planning and development

GGHS Action Plan GoalStrategy/TargetTimeline To develop student career management skills across curriculum areas incorporating reporting and developing a document that articulates Graduate Qualities & Capabilities in all year 12 students.  Research how implementation has occurring at other like schools – collect samples  Meet with team to develop implementation plan including timeline and formats for presentation of information  Present information and plan to School Leadership Team – ask for feedback  Evaluate feedback and implement any changes  Set up electronic folders and data base to support implementation  Meet with home group teachers to implement plan with students  Collect samples of students learning tasks to use as evidence to demonstrate elements  Implementation of collection of evidence and reporting of GQ&C  Final document/certificate produced  All year 12 students receive GQ&C leavers summary & certificate at final assembly Term 1 Week 6 Term 1 Week 7 (?) Term 1 Week 8 Term 1 Week 9 Term 1 Week 10 Term 1 Ongoing Term 2 – 3 Term 4 Week 1 Investigate the feasibility of integrating Year 9 Work Studies into middle school curriculum and linking this to PLP.  Call for interested staff to form a Professional Learning Team  Professional reading of the Australian Curriculum Work Studies curriculum  Research how Work Studies has been implemented in other schools  Write proposal for subject to be included as Year 9 Elective and present at Curriculum Action Team Meeting  Survey Year 8 (as baseline data) & Year 9 to ascertain needs/interests  Work with PLT to develop resources and program Term 1 Week – 2015 Term 1 & 2 Term 1 Week 10/Term 2 Term 2 Week 5 Term Expand the complimentary connections between the school, businesses and the community as an integral component of students career planning and development  Meet with Michael Scarman and other interested staff to discuss strategies, targets and a develop realistic timeline  Audit current partnerships with community and business  Along with PLP team develop a program for Year 10 PLP Round Table Presentations including a community/business partner  Develop more focused pathway partnerships to enhance VET programs in school. Attach partner to each VET program in school Term 1 Term 1 Term 1 – 2 Term 2 -3
