Nehemiah Trusts in God Nehemiah’s foundation: Faith in who God is. Definition: Trust 1 a : assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something b : one in which confidence is placed 2 a : dependence on something future or contingent : hope

II. Nehemiah trusts in Gods word even with the nation of Israel scattered. A. He trusted in God’s prophetic word. He knew that through the prophet Jeremiah that the captivity was going to happen and after 70 years the nation would be restored Jeremiah 30:3, 'For behold, days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel and Judah.' The LORD says, 'I will also bring them back to the land that I gave to their forefathers and they shall possess it.'“ Jeremiah 25:11-13
