As Jesus came nearer to Bethany he sent two of his disciples saying, “Go into the village and there you will find a donkey, which no man has ever sat upon. Bring him to me and if anyone should ask you what you are doing say, ‘The Lord needs him.’”

The disciples went into town and found the donkey, just as Jesus had told them they would.

They untied him and the owner came and asked, “What are you doing?” They replied, “The Lord needs him.”

They led him away.

They took him to Jesus and laid their cloaks on the donkey’s back.

Jesus climbed on the donkey’s back and rode towards Jerusalem.

While he was riding, the disciples waved palms and praised God loudly saying, “Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord.

Some of the Pharisees said to him, “Master, tell your disciples to be quiet.” And he answered and said to them, “I tell you that, if these should be quiet, the stones would immediately cry out.”Pharisees
