God was sending a flood – to destroy the evil in the world. Noah found grace Ark of Gopher Wood 300 x 50 x 30 cubits 475’ X 75’ x 45’

Gen. 7:19-21  All the high hills were covered  15 Cubits above the mountains  All flesh died If local flood  Why work 120 years to build the ark ?  Why not Move to another part of world?  Why have all in ark for over 1 year?  Animals could migrate, birds could fly

Was It A Local Flood ?

Numerous traditions of a Flood  All continents have flood accounts  250 to 300 records Punishments for corruption  Gen. 6:7 “I will destroy man”  Gen. 6:13 “The end of all flesh is come before me;”

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13

2 Pet. 3:1-7  Peter Prophesied about return of Christ  “world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.” v. 6 Other references in Bible  Isa. 54:9 “…the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth;”  2 Pet. 2:5 “…bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.”

Jesus believed in the flood  Matt. 24:38-39 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
