Thinking Skills

Why are thinking skills important in MFL? They: help you to think for yourself; help you to deconstruct language and to understand that languages have patterns and rules; help you to articulate your understanding; give you the opportunity to learn from each other; promote active involvement; foster links with other subject areas by using similar strategies.

What are the five thinking skills? They are: Information processing skills; Reasoning skills; Enquiry skills; Creative thinking skills; Evaluation skills.
