What color does this represent? Each of these dots represents a PIXEL … a dot of color on a screen.

Look at the background color with the eye lens and describe what you see. Get closer and really look for the individual dots that make up the color on the screen.

Most screens use these pixels to create colors and patterns.

Look at the background color and compare it to the changing gradient.

Notice that blue is made up of mostly ______ pixels.

What color pixels make up this purple background?

Which pixel seems to be the dimmest?

Is green a primary or secondary color?

How does the screen produce white color? How does it produce black or gray?

When pixels are small enough they seem to blend together and form a seamless picture. When you zoom in and look more closely you can see the individual pixels and how they work together to create an image.

What colors … make up the silver can?

…the brown hoof?

… each of the cards?

… the purple and green?

… the hamburger patty?

How does this relate to the Electromagnetic Spectrum?
