Applying for disability benefits online

What can I accomplish using the Social Security website? Apply for Medicare, retirement or disability benefits Review your ‘Social Security Statement’ Get the address of your local Social Security office Request a replacement Medicare card Find copies of all Social Security publications

Who qualifies for disability benefits? Individuals who cannot work because they have a medical condition that is expected to last at least one year or result in death will qualify for disability benefits, per federal law Earnings requirement: generally speaking, you must have worked long enough under Social Security and recent/often enough to qualify

If I qualify, what can I expect to receive? Medicare benefits Supplemental Security Income, in rare cases Social Security payments
