Paper 4: Listening Part 1: 8 multiple choice You will hear people talking in eight different situations. For questions 1-8, choose the best answer, A, B or C.

Paper 2: Part One: Writing This part tests your ability to respond to a letter or email, and accompanying notes You are expected to respond in grammatically correct English (abbr. text style is not accepted) Both letters and emails should have an opening salutation, paragraphing and closing phrasing (no addresses are necessary). The degree of formality is required in the task, according to the situation and target reader. You are expected to write the approx. number of words.

Paper 2: Part One: Writing Hints: - Plan out your response. - Use neat handwriting (do not write everything in capital letters – only when necessary). - The layout is very important (leave a line between paragraphs in formal letters or emails). - Avoid wordbreaks with a hyphen. - Do not mix British English terms with American English ones. - Use appropriate register (formal or informal) – do not vary in style. - Check for mistakes (gram., punct., spell.)
