Quartiles are the values in a set that separate the data into four sections, each containing 25% or one quarter of the data Lower quartile Q 1 is the median of the lower half of the data Upper quartile Q 3 is the median of the upper half of the data The median quartile Q 2 Separates the data Into two halves
