Who are we? We aim to support LGBTQ* students, staff, and faculty on the UK campus. We make ongoing assessments of attitudes and conditions regarding LGBTQ* persons and issues.

Why are we necessary? LGBTQ* students, faculty, and staff… The needs on our campus are so great that we are shifting from a task force to becoming an advisory group.

What is our mission? The LGBTQ* Advisory Committee makes recommendations and seeks implementation of educational programs and policies for the university. The Committee provides resources through advocacy and programming related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression for all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Kentucky to create an inclusive and equitable university- wide environment.

What is our vision? The LGBTQ* Advisory Committee envisions an inclusive and equitable campus community free of discrimination where all forms of diversity are respected and recognized as integral to the UK experience.

What are our priority goals? Encourage bias reporting Increase number of gender neutral bathrooms on campus Change non- discrimination policy to include gender identity and gender expression Improve curriculum across campus to be inclusive of sexual diversity Provide support and resources for students, staff, and faculty
