The Battle of Bunker HillThe Battle of Bunker Hill June 17, General Prescott lead colonial soldiers to make a fort on Bunker hill. He made a mistake and fortified Breed’s Hill. Both the British and the colonies wanted to occupy these hills to have an advantage. 2. The British “won” the battle but lost many men. 3. The colonists lost because they ran out of ammunition. They were told, “don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.”

Battle of SaratogaBattle of Saratoga October 17, General John Burgoyne set out to separate the New England colonies from the rest. He wanted to take over Albany, New York. a.
