Regular Polygons A regular polygon is a polygon with all sides equal in length and all angles equal in measure.

Another Regular Polygon A regular octagon has a total perimeter of 280 inches. Find the measure of each side of the polygon. An octagon has 8 sides. Since it’s a regular octagon all of the sides are equal in length. 280 ÷ 8 = 35 inches Each side measures 35 inches.

Naming congruent parts Write a congruence statement. Identify all parts of congruent corresponding parts. ∆DEF ≅ ∆IGH Angles: D≅ I, E ≅ G, F ≅H Sides DE ≅ IG, EF ≅ GH, FD ≅ HI

Video Find the value of x in the pair of similar polygons. 15(10) = 6x 10 cm 6 cm 15 cm 8 cm OR Answer: 15(10) = 6x 150 = 6x 25 cm = x 15(10) = 6x 150 = 6x 25 cm = x Video

Skills Check! When you finish turn your paper over and put it in the corner of your desk. No Talking!
