They come in many shapes and sizes!

3 measure angles –Acute –Right –Obtuse 3 measure sides –Scalene –Isosceles –Equilateral There are 6 types of triangles.

Isosceles Triangle The left and right side are 5 centimeters long. This triangle has at least two equal sides.

1. Equilateral Triangle This triangle has all congruent sides. This triangle also has the congruent angles, each being 60º.

The bottom line wins for the longest side. This triangle consists of three sides that are all different.

Obtuse Triangle It’s the bottom 120º. This triangle has one of the three angles larger than 90º.

Acute Triangle This triangle has all three angles measuring less than 90º. Remember that every triangle has a sum of 180º for all three angles.

The Right Triangle This very special triangle has one angle that is exactly 90º. The other two angles always have a sum of 90º. Everything seems RIGHT about this triangle!
