Is the Bald Eagle Endangered? By Kaitlyn Luba

When did the bald eagle live? Bald eagles still live now and are almost off of the endangered species list!

Bald eagles are mostly seen in North America. In the summer bald eagles are found in Canada.

What happened to the bald eagle? Once there were thousands of bald eagles in North America People started hunting them for sport Farmers killed them because they thought bald eagles killed small farm animals and ate too many fish.

How were bald eagles harmed or helped by people? Harmed because people cut so many trees that the bald eagle needed to live in Pesticides poisoned eagles They where hunted for sport Helped by people in 1969 by placing on the U.S. endangered species list Created laws to protect bald eagles Set aside land called sanctuaries,
