How does God want us to honor his word?

Why do we say that the third commandment deals with God’s word? Leviticus 23:3 Colossians 2:16,17 Colossians 3:16 We say that the third commandment deals with God’s word because that’s the part of this commandment that still applies to us.

How does God want us to honor his word? Acts 17:11 / Psalm 122:1 John 6:45 / Psalm 119:72 John 20:31 Luke 11:28 God wants me to honor his word not just by hearing it, but also by gladly learning, believing and obeying it.

When do people sin against this commandment? Hebrews 10:25 Luke 14:16-24 Hebrews 4:2 James 1:22-24 People sin against this commandment when they don’t hear or read God's word, don’t believe it, and don’t obey it.
