LESSON 3 REVIEW QUESTIONS CASEY POLERA

GIVEN QUESTIONS (MICROSITE) 1.You might want to apply highlighting to a selected piece of text if it’s important and you want it to stand out more. 2.Line spacing is different from paragraph spacing because Line spacing is the space between each individual line while paragraph spacing is the space between each given paragraph. 3.First line indent is when the first line of a paragraph is indented while hanging indent is when everything but the first line is indented. 4.If you highlight over the quick style it will give a preview of what you want, but will not apply it. 5.You might want to change the format for a number list because the list is important and you want that to stick out.

GIVEN QUESTIONS (BOOK) Q: EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENT INDENT TYPES AND WHEN OR HOW MIGHT YOU USE EACH? A: LEFT INDENT – THE ENTIRE PARAGRAPH IS INDENTED FROM THE LEFT MARGIN. RIGHT INDENT – THE ENTIRE PARAGRAPH IS INDENTED FROM THE RIGHT MARGIN. FIRST LINE INDENT – ONLY THE FIRST LINE OF THE PARAGRAPH INDENTS FROM THE LEFT MARGIN, HANGING INDENT – THE PARAGRAPH INDENTS FROM THE LEFT MARGIN, LEAVING THE FIRST LINE HANGING AT THE LEFT MARGIN. Q: WHY WOULD YOU SET UP A MULTILEVEL LIST? A: MULTILEVELS ARE USEFUL WHEN LIST ITEMS ARE NOT TITLE OR HEADINGS, BUT YOU WANT TO PRIORITIZE THE TOPICS. Q: WHAT WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE OF ADDING A NEW STYLE TO THE QUICK STYLES GALLERY? A: IT’S CREATIVE, AND DIFFERENT. IT’S YOUR OWN WORK, HOW YOU WANT IT, ANYWAY YOU CAN HAVE IT.

WHAT IS A MIRROR INDENT? A MIRROR INDENT ADJUSTS THE LEFT AND RIGHT INDENTS APPROPRIATELY FOR ODD AND EVEN PAGES.

WHAT ARE THE 4 ALIGNMENTS AND WHAT DO THEY DO? ALIGN LEFT – ALIGNS TEXT TO THE LEFT MARGIN WITH RAGGED RIGHT EDGES CENTER – ALIGNS TEXT BETWEEN THE LEFT AND RIGHT MARGINS ALIGN RIGHT – ALIGNS TEXT TO THE RIGHT MARGIN WITH RAGGED LEFT EDGES JUSTIFY – ALIGNS TEXT SO THE LEFT AND RIGHT EDGES OF THE TEXT ARE FLUSH WITH BOTH MARGINS. Align left Center Align right Justify
