If you borrow money or defraud someone, you must repay the physical debt before GOD will “Freely” forgive you spiritual debt 5. The Gospel says that our sins are freely forgiven; out spiritual debt is paid by the Cross (not your physical home mortgage). 31

The Cross did not change sin to not- sin; it gave a way for forgiveness of sin when one repents 33

The Cross was NOT about annulling the Law, it was about paying the debt for the sins of us all Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities ; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Sweet Antinomianism B. If the Law was done away with, there would be no need for the Cross 1. If you did away with the Law, the wages of sin would NOT be spiritual death 2. If you do away with the Law, there would be no sinners – for the Law defines what is or what is not sin in GOD’s eyes. 38

Sweet Antinomianism 3. The Law does not make people sin; it is there to describe what is sin so that you know what is required of you by GOD. 4. When we do sin, we have a way to remove the sin penalty: repentance and turning from sin actuates GOD’s Grace because of the sin debt being paid on the Cross by Messiah Jesus. 39
