Inequality Word Problems

Warm-Up Bryson the Bodybuilder needs to eat 150 grams of protein each day. When he wakes up he has the same shake that Mr. Reeves has, which includes 35 grams of protein. He will eat 6 more times before he goes to bed. How many grams of protein will he need to get in each of the next 6 meals in order to get 175 grams for the day?

Try this with a partner Draw a number line and graph that represents the solution to the following inequality: 14x + 20 <-8

With a partner Make a word problem for the following inequality: 12 (X) – 15 < 250

On Your Own 12+25(2)+3(x) <80 Write a story about going to a sporting event with a friend that would go with the inequality above.

On Your Own Graph the solution to the following inequality: 40(J) +165 > 1965

Multi-Step (With Partner) Solve the following inequality, then write a story to represent it, then graph the solution to the inequality on a number line. 10c – 4 > 200

Multi-Step By Yourself Find the solution to the following inequality, write a story that represents the inequality and then graph the solution on a number line. 4x + 5 > 80
