KLCC in 2011 enjoyed a 15% growth year on year Generally the SE Asian region (as defined above) is enjoying a buoyant period with conventions and exhibitions and a continued average economic growth rate of 5.6% (source: IMF) In our case at KLCC we are looking at achieving budget in 2012, with 90% all ready locked down and significant business in the diary for 2013 and 2014 and beyond. Indicators are that this is true for the region as well Current business tourism characteristics

Major strengths for KLCC individually are: flexible venue, location, established track record, experienced committed staff, high tech fit-out and high standard of equipping Strong regional interest from around the Globe Level of Government assistance and growing interest in expanding and improving MICE sector Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur is a value destination with a compelling value proposition Malaysia is “comfortable” for western, eastern and middle eastern visitors Professional industry supply chain Business Strength

Growth in Purpose-built, World Class meeting infrastructure has not yet peaked This is a reality within Malaysia and within the region Existing centres are expanding and or upgrading e.g. Korea and Hong Kong New facilities are already under construction e.g. Thailand, Malaysia Many more if considering Asia as a whole: China, India … Growth in infrastructure
