33 Days to Morning Glory How does the retreat work? – For 33 days participants read 2 pages a day in Fr. Michael Gaitley’s easy to read book titled “33 Days to Morning Glory” and reflect on the daily reading – Once a week for 6 weeks participants meet for 90 minutes to watch Fr. Gaitley speak on videos and to discuss the videos and the week’s reading – At the end of the retreat participants consecrate themselves to Jesus through Mary usually at a Mass. Parishes may elect to celebrate with a reception after the Mass.

33 Days to Morning Glory Three main approaches a Parish may take – Large group Approach: Pick one or two days of the week (possibly one night time offering and one daytime offering) and have parishioners sign up – Small group Approach: Offer many days of the week and times or build groups based on parishioners availability – Individual Approach: Individuals read the book on their own

33 Days to Morning Glory Pros and Cons of each Approach – Large group Approach: Limited number of time slots offered may not meet schedules of some parishioners. Easier to coordinate. – Small group Approach: More parishioners likely to participate if one of the time slots matches their availability. More challenging to coordinate. – Individual Approach: Very easy to coordinate. With no group sessions parishioners will not see the videos and will miss out on group discussion.
