Exponential and Logarithmic Equations
Explain how to solve and Exponential equation when both sides can be written as a power of the same base.
Explain how to solve an exponential equation when both sides ‘cannot’ be written as the power of the same base. Use 3 x = 50 in your explanation.
Explain the differences between solving log 3 (x-1) = 4 and log 3 (x-1) = log 3 4
Does this statement makes sense? It’s important for me to check that the proposed solution of an equation with logarithms gives only logarithms of positive numbers in the original equation.
Solve 2|ln x | - 6 = 0
Solve ln 3 – ln(x+5) – ln x = 0
Solve ln(x-5) – ln(x+4) = ln(x-1) – ln(x+2)
